Perhaps no vegetable is transformed on the grill like asparagus. Its flavors deepen and its natural sugars caramelize slightly for an incomparably simple side dish. Here, fresh asparagus is pre-grilled and ready to heat and eat. What could be better? Two 1 lb. bags.
Ingredients
Asparagus, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kosher Salt (Coarse Flake Salt, Yellow Prussiate of Soda), Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
From Thaw: Preheat to 350 degrees. Remove plastic lid from aluminum pan. Remove food from plastic bag and place in aluminum pan. Cover pan with aluminum foil. Place covered pan on baking sheet in 350 degree oven. Heat food for 10 minutes at 350 degrees, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees. Microwave: Remove plastic bag of asparagus from tray. With a sharp knife, pierce top of plastic bag 6 times. Place bag, pierced side up, on a microwave safe dish and place in microwave. Heat on high for 1 1/2-2 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130 degrees. Let rest for 2 minutes in microwave. Remove from microwave, open bag and place asparagus in aluminum pan to serve.
