Traditional Beef Stew

This traditional beef stew is home cooking at its best, and one of our favorites for a hearty dinner entree. Chock full of tender chunks of rich beef and sumptuous veggies including potatoes, tender carrots, and pearl onions, each bite satisfies the appetite and the soul. Rich and delicious, and perfect for a cold winter night. Serve over egg noodles or even mashed potatoes for a meal they'll remember! You get two 1 lb. bags of Beef Stew, enough to serve up to 6.

Thaw overnight in refrigerator prior to baking.

Boil in Bag: Fill a medium pot with 3 quarts of water and bring to a boil. Place unopened beef stew pouch into boiling water and turn heat down to medium. Heat beef in simmering water for 10-15 minutes. Carefully remove pouch from hot water and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Microwave: Place beef pouch in a microwave safe dish and pierce 6 times. Place in the center of the microwave and heat on HIGH for 4-6 minutes. Remove tray from microwave and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Stove Top: Open beef stew pouch and pour contents into a small pot. Cover pot and heat on low for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat source and allow to rest 2 minutes before serving.
