With just three ingredients you can add your own home-made touch to our Robin’s Egg Chocolate Cake. Our recipe for Chocolate Birds’ Nest Cake Toppers is sure to make this cake the star of your spring dessert table.

8 oz semisweet or milk chocolate chips
2 cup canned potato sticks, mini pretzel sticks, or chow mein noodles
20-30 candy eggs

Cook time: about 5 minutes

Makes 6 nests.

1. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Stir until smooth.
2. Add the potato sticks, pretzel sticks or chow mein noodles to the bowl and toss until coated in the chocolate mixture.
3. Coat a 6 cup muffin pan with cooking spray and scoop the mixture into cups. Make an indentation in each to form nests.
4. Chill until set. About 3 hours.
5. Add candy eggs and place one atop cake. Serve the others on their own, wrap in cellophane for gifting, or use as place setting décor.
